RETREATS

YOGA AND AYURVEDA:

Living Ancient Traditions Adapted to Modern Times

December 21 to 28 2019

A Meaningful Way to Spend Christmas

‘The idea of this retreat was born out the gratitude and appreciation both of us have for the teachings Yoga and India have provided us through our years of Sadhana. Our intention for this retreat is to provide a holistic and practical approach, which merges this ancient living tradition with our current era’

CONVERSATIONS IN YOGA

Emil and Anouk’s Annual Retreat

February 03 to 11 2020

Emil Wendel, Anouk Aoun and Other Guest Presenters

This 8-day retreat in Goa with Emil and Anouk is designed to immerse the practitioners into both a stimulating postural practice, and the magic that lies beyond the physical aspects of yoga.

Starting before dawn, there will be classical Indian recitals, Pranayama and meditations, followed by Asanas. The afternoons combine seminars on the history of yoga and background information regarding techniques used. The course offers advanced yogic modules including enquiry into the human condition.

Europe Mill Retreat with Emil Wendel and Anouk Aoun

Emil and Anouk’s Europe Retreat

August 28 to 1 September  2019

This retreat is designed to immerse the practitioners into both a stimulating postural practice, and the magic that lies beyond the physical aspects of Yoga.

We are lucky to have this opportunity to teach this retreat for the fifth time at this delightful place near Salzburg:

The Mill sits in harmonious grounds surrounded by trees, a stream where one can bathe and the Irsee lake  is only a few minutes walk so you can take a swim during breaks.
All food is vegetarian and prepared with utmost love and under Ayurvedic principles by our dear friend and host Daniela Wolff

TEACHER TRAINING/MODULES

Restorative Yoga 50hr Module with Anouk

February 22 to 29 2020

In my opinion, a healthy human being has both sides in his/her life: moments of being fully engaged with the world, but also moments of rest, stillness, silence and contemplation. I feel that we need to cultivate the latter a little more. Some practices of Yoga are said to emphasize precisely this state of inner silence.

Restorative Yoga results in a relaxed physical state. It focuses on staying in a variety of postures on the floor, using props to be comfortably and fully supported. The postures are helping to gently open and release certain areas in our bodies. In our course, we pair this with Pranayama to encourage a movement into stillness beyond.

Yoga Arts: Louisa Sears, Director of Yoga Arts, organises this 200 hrs teacher training in Bali.

In this course I lead one morning Asana class a week and assist Louisa in several other classes.
